The Garden School began as a small, child-centered program rooted in play, relationships, and respect for each child’s individuality. It became a special place for families seeking a nurturing, community-focused early learning experience.
As the program grew, so did the vision. The Garden School laid the foundation for Evergreen Children’s Academy, and while the name has changed, its values remain the same—honoring childhood, supporting curiosity, and fostering meaningful connections.
The Garden School will always be part of our story and the roots of who we are today.

A Natural Next Chapter
This transition is a natural next step in the life of our school. The same teachers and leaders who cared for children each day at The Garden School will continue guiding the program, now within an organization created solely to support early childhood education.
Always Centered on Children
Evergreen’s mission is simple: to nurture and educate young children. This allows decisions about classrooms, curriculum, and growth to stay in the hands of the educators who know your children best and are guided by what supports them most.
Clear and Meaningful Support
With Evergreen, tuition directly supports the classrooms, teachers, and learning materials your children use every day. Families can feel confident knowing exactly how their support is helping the school community thrive.
A Continued Connection to Marin Art and Garden Center
Our relationship with the Marin Art & Garden Center remains strong. Children will still explore the gardens daily, families can still continue to take part in Center events, and our shared campus will remain a place of beauty, learning, and connection, just with roles that are more clearly defined.
