As parents ourselves, we know firsthand how meaningful (and how emotional) it is to choose a child’s first school. We’ve stood in the same shoes as the families we serve, looking for a place that feels safe, nurturing, joyful, and rooted in respect for each child’s unique growth. Evergreen was created from that desire: to build a school that feels like an extension of home, while giving children space to explore, wonder, and develop independence in a natural, thoughtful environment.
Our shared love of children, learning, and the outdoors is at the heart of everything we do. We believe young children thrive when they are given time to play, move, get messy, ask questions, and form strong, trusting relationships with the adults who care for them. Our vision for Evergreen is a school where curiosity is encouraged, emotions are honored, and learning grows organically through meaningful experiences.
As mothers, we also understand the importance of community. Evergreen is not just a school for children, it is a place for families to connect, feel seen, and grow together. We are honored to walk alongside families during these early years and to create a warm, welcoming space where children can build confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love of learning.
We are so glad you’re here and look forward to welcoming your family into the Evergreen community.

Emma brings more than 15 years of experience in early childhood education and a decade of leadership as a preschool director. Her career has spanned a wide range of programs — from small, community-based non-profit schools to large corporate settings — giving her a deep and balanced understanding of how to combine quality, sustainability, and heart in early learning environments.
Emma is not only a passionate educator and leader, she is also a mom, which deeply informs her philosophy and approach. She understands firsthand what families need most: trust, communication, and a genuine sense of belonging. Her perspective as both a professional and a parent helps her create programs that feel personal, inclusive, and developmentally rich for every child.
Under Emma’s guidance, Evergreen Children’s Academy was built on the belief that children learn best through play, exploration, and connection with nature. Her leadership style blends warmth and vision, fostering strong relationships among teachers, families, and the broader community.

Katie brings 15 years of experience working with young children and more than 7 years of preschool teaching experience to her role. She studied Early Childhood Education where she built a strong foundation in child development and the importance of play-based, hands-on learning.
Before stepping into her current leadership role, Katie served as an Assistant Director for 1.5 years, where she supported teachers and families with warmth, consistency, and a deep understanding of early education. Her blend of classroom expertise and administrative experience allows her to lead with empathy while maintaining high standards for quality and care.
As a mom of two boys, Katie brings both professional insight and personal understanding to her work. She knows how important it is for families to feel seen, supported, and connected — and she strives to create a school community where every child and parent feels they truly belong.
